Abstract
Drug discovery is traditionally a slow and costly process. The rapid growth of molecular and clinical data combined with technological advancements has opened new horizons in therapeutic development. Polypharmacology, the concept of a single drug interacting with multiple targets, is increasingly recognized as a promising strategy for treating complex diseases. This commentary explores the principles of polypharmacology, its advantages over conventional single-target therapies, its role in overcoming drug resistance, and the challenges that need to be addressed for its broader application in modern medicine
